whereas at a court here held 18.6.1650 Ann Wiborow wife of Wm Wiborow took for herself and her heirs by copy of court roll after she had a recovery of the same three crofts of land called Petticrofts also Pettcrofts with appurtenances now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said Wm Wiborow and Ann his wife after the last general court viz 12.5.1660 came before the said Jn Joscelyne steward of the said court and Ann herself first by the said steward solely and secretly examined as is the custom and consenting the said Wm and Ann surrendered by the rod into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward according to the custom of the said manor the said three crofts of land with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Jn Scott carpenter and Mary his wife and the heirs and assigns of the said Jn Scott forever who the same Jn and Mary his wife present in court humbly sought admittance as tenants of the premises to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said croft of land with appurtenances to the said Jn and Mary and the heirs and assigns of the said Jn forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fine
