at this court it was presented by the homage that Giles Crow after the last court general on 7.1.1669 surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Peter Dore instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Ralph Josselin clerk and Jn Clarke two customary tenants etc all that cottage late into two cottages divided and one parcel of land of Windmilhill then in the tenure of Ellen Smith widow and Eliz Ellis widow to the use of Robt Allen alias Payne his heirs and assigns forever which premises aforesaid the said Giles took to himself and his heirs at a court here held 3.11.1657 and upon this the said Robt Allen alias Payne humbly petitioned admittance etc to whom the steward delivered seisin to have and to hold the said premises to the said Robt his heirs and assigns of the lord etc and he gave the lord for fine etc
