whereas at a court here held 15.6.15Chas2 Jas Gibson was admitted to him and his heirs to one messuage or tenement and garden called Morses and to one parcel of land or a yard containing by estimation half a perch to the said messuage adjoining now at this court it is presented by the homage that 1.9.last the said Jas surrendered into the lord's hands the said premises by the hands of Jn Bagshaw instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Garrett and Robt Harris two customary tenants of the manor etc to the use of Wm Allen of South Halstead in Essex grocer his heirs and assigns forever upon which came here into court the said Wm and humbly petitioned admittance etc to whom the steward delivered seisin etc to have and to hold the said messuage and other premises to the said Wm Allen his heirs and assigns of the lord etc and he gave the lord for fine and fealty was respited
