whereas at a court here held 3.1.1637 Robt Potter was admitted to him and his heirs to one parcel of customary land called Dovehouse Field and also to a parcel of land called Pondcroft or Pondfield now at this court it appeared to the homage that the said Robt Potter 23.10.24Chas2 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Giles Crow instead of the bailiff in the presence of Wm Harlakenden and Jn Finch two customary tenants etc the said lands to the use of Rich Hatch of Earls Colne baker# and his heirs and assigns forever upon which came the said Rich and humbly petitioned admittance etc to whom the steward delivered seisin to have and to hold the said lands etc to the said Rich his heirs and assigns of the lord etc and he gave the lord for fine etc
