whereas at a court here held 11.12.1677 Edw Harris was admitted to him and his heirs to one messuage with an orchard adjoining called Barretts alias Mihills in the occupation of Robt Pilborough now at this court on the testimony of the steward it is found by the homage that the said Edw Harris 28.3.last surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the steward the said messuage and orchard and all his customary lands tenements and hereditaments held of the manor aforesaid to the sole use of Nich Kendall his heirs and assigns forever upon which the said Nich Kendall present in court petitioned admittance etc to whom the steward delivered seisin etc to have and to hold the messuage and orchard aforesaid to the said Nich Kendall his heirs and assigns of the lord etc and he gave the lord for fine etc and made fealty
