at a court held 9.1.1635 Edw Elliston and Mabel his wife were admitted to themselves and the heirs of their bodies legitimately procreated and for default of such issue to the rightful heirs of the said Edw forever to 6a of wooded land parcel of a grove called Coggesgrove divided from the rest of the grove and part adjoining the land called Colne Park and also to one messuage or tenement with barns stables yards and gardens appertaining to the said messuage and 26a of land and 3a of pasture and 1r of meadow with appurtenances called Curds and three crofts of land about 15a called Barmanfields Rounsell and Pellsland and also at a court held 13.1.1635 Edw Elliston took to himself and his heirs the reversion of a certain parcel of land called Heathfield alias Heathcroft Stonyland and Brookhouse Meadow lying in Earls Colne and containing about 20a late parcel of the Hayhouse now at this court it is shown by the homage that the said Edw and Mabel died before this court without heirs of their bodies legitimately procreated and that Math Elliston senior gentleman is brother and heir of the said Edw who is present in court and humbly seeks admission to the above property and he pays his fine for admission but fealty respited
