at a court here held 19.2.1667 Thos Fish was admitted to one cottage with a garden adjoining now into three divided and also to 3p of land enclosed parcel of a messuage in which Thos Prior once lived in the two houses now being in the occupation of Thos Appleton and Jn Smith and the other late in the occupation of Esdras Peartree (may be Esdras Peartree) now at this court it appeared that on 5.7.1683 he surrendered by the hands of Sam Burton instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Garrett and Thos Biggsby the said tenement etc to the use of Rich Appleton who was admitted and gave fine and fealty was respited
