at a court held 19.10.1659 Edw Stevens was admitted to one messuage or tenement and yard with appurtenances called Pannells and at a court held 27.12.1676 the said Edw was admitted to a parcel of land with a cottage thereon built parcel of Pannells with appurtenances now at this court it appeared that he surrendered by the hands of Sam Burton instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Sparrow and Dan Nightingale etc the said premises to the use of Wm Fossett who was admitted etc and gave fine and after in court the said Wm surrendered the said premises to the use of himself for life and after his death to the use of Susan his wife for the term of her life and after the death of the survivor to the use of the right heirs of the said Wm forever which Wm and Susan were admitted etc and gave fine and fealty was respited
