now the court baron by a court held 30.3.1691 Jn Austone was admitted to him and heirs to parcel of Joulins now in tenure to Nath King plus appurtenances now at this court it appears to the homage that the said Jn surrendered by the rod into the hands of the lord by the hand of Sam Burton instead of the bailiff in the presence of two customary tenants the said messuage or tenement with buildings yards and appurtenances situate in Earls Colne to the use of Thos Osborne his heirs and assigns forever who is present admitted etc gave the lord fine etc respited
