at a court held 2.4.1669 Wm Andrews and Ann his wife were admitted to them and their heirs to one messuage or customary tenement now in occupation of said Ann Andrews with appurtenances called Firman Tylers situate and lying and being in Earls Colne at a court 28.3.1694 it appeared to the homage that said Ann now a widow outlived said Wm and on 2.10.1693 surrendered by rod etc by hand of Jos Cranfeild in place of the bailiff in the presence of Geo Toller and Humph Ruggles two customary tenants etc said premises with appurtenances to the use of Robt Cranfeild of Colne Engayne county of Essex his heirs and assigns forever under condition that said Robt Cranfeild from time to time repair the premises and permit said Ann to occupy the premises for length of natural life and pay or cause to be paid to said Ann her executors or assigns sum of 4li on 25.3.next following surrender and then the surrender to stand to use of said Robt Cranfeild and his heirs absolutely and without condition to this court came said Robt Cranfeild admitted to the premises etc to said Robt Cranfeild his heirs and assigns on condition and limitation above stated and expressed etc fealty respited
