at a court held 19.10.1680 Jn Paine was admitted to him and his heirs to part of a messuage called Mordens then in occupation Thos Andrewes at a court held     it appeared to homage that said Jn on 26.3.1692 surrendered by rod to hand of lord by hand Geo Toller gentleman and Humph Ruggles two customary tenants etc said premises to the use of Ruth Harris daughter of Robt Harris of Earls Colne yeoman her heirs and assigns forever under condition that if Jn Paine or others paid or caused to be paid said Ruth Harris her executors or assigns 22li6s10d on 31.3.1693 then surrender void now to this court came Ruth Harris with Martha Harris (Mary Harris ) her mother in role of attorney or deputy testifying to the court that said 22li6s10d by that day was not paid and still remained unpaid and petition of the lord to be admitted to the premises by his steward the lord granted delivery of seisin by rod to have and hold the premises etc fealty respited
