at a court held 13.3.1695 Solomon Stebbing gentleman was admitted to him and heirs to one croft land with barn called Olivers Croft lying in Earls Colne containing by estimation 2a2r now to this court it appears etc said Solomon 11.4.1701 surrendered by the rod into hand of lord by hand of Sam Burton instead of the bailiff in presence of Wm Chapman and Jn Pratt two customary tenants etc said premises with appurtenances by name one customary croft called Olivers Croft lying in Earls Colne with barn late build abutting onto highway leading from Colne Green to the Hayhouse to east and onto land of Jn Parish gentleman's to west now in occupation Jn Last and all his right title and interest of and in the premises to use of Eliz Adams of Earls Colne widow her heirs and assigns forever who is present here in court and humbly petitions etc admitted etc premises fealty respited
