at a court held 28.4.1713 it appeared to the homage that Jn Fletcher before that court had died seised of certain lands and tenements of this manor held by copy of court roll and that before he died to wit 18.7.1712 he surrendered by rod into hand of lord by hand of Solomon Grimston then deputy steward etc all and singular his customary messuages and lands tenements and hereditaments whatever which Jn Fletcher held of this manor to such uses as would be declared in his last will in writing and afterwards proclamation was made now to this court comes Math Fletcher one of the sons of said Jn Fletcher deceased by Jn Leppingwell his attorney and produced here in court last will of Jn Fletcher dated 18.7.1712 by which last will he devised in these english words item I give and bequeath unto the said Martha my wife for and during the term of her natural life all those copyhold lands called Lovelands which I lately purchased of Ralph Josselin and after her decease I give and bequeath the same and also my freehold and copyholds called Burroughs and 4a all in my own occupation unto my said son Math Fletcher and his heirs forever item I give and bequeath unto the said Martha my wife and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life all that my messuage or tenement with the appurtenances situate in Earls Colne aforesaid and now in the several occupations of myself Jn Hutchinson and Dan King and after the decease of my said wife I give and bequeath the same unto my said son Math Fletcher and his heirs forever as by last will plainly appears and thereupon said Math the said Martha being dead by his attorney humbly petitions admitted to one messuage and garden with appurtenances once Wm Greenes and 4a land more or less lying next Hyndesland with appurtenances in Earls Colne and also one croft of land called Burroughs once Raynham Burroughs containing by estimation 3a more or less in Earls Colne etc under condition in the said last will expressed etc is admitted tenant thereof
