to this court appears to homage that Rich Potter a customary tenant of the manor 10.4.1725 surrendered into hand of lord by rod by hand of Solomon Grimston gentleman then deputy steward etc all that his customary messuage with garden and curtilage adjoining called Sonningwells and all that tenement adjoining called Tabors with appurtenances which were late in the tenure of said Rich Potter and Walt Pease and then in tenure of Davies Barker and Peter Coney or assigns and also one parcel called Dovehouse Field and anot her parcel land called Pondcroft containing by estimation 14a more or less with appurtenances late in tenure of Francis Bullard and then Jn May or assigns all which premises are situate and being in Earls Colne and all such lands and tenements whatsoever of this manor held by copy of court roll to use of Jn May his heirs and assigns forever after which comes into court said Jn May and petitions admission to premises is admitted tenant and made fealty to lord for premises
