at this court it is found by homage that on 29.5.last Edw Fell a customary tenant of manor out of court surrendered by rod into hand of lord by hand of Solomon Grimston deputy steward according to custom of manor one tenement with appurtenances then in tenure of Jos Brewer (may be Jos Brewer) being part of a messuage sometime divided into two tenements late in tenure of Edw Fell and Robt Foster as the said surrendered tenement was late in tenure of Robt Foster and now of Jos Brewer (may be Jos Brewer) except one room held by Jos Brewer (may be Jos Brewer) being part of the other tenement in the tenure of Edw Fell to use of Thos Hart of Walter Belchamp in Essex and Martha his wife daughter of Edw Fell their heirs and assigns forever whereupon comes into court Thos Hart and Martha his wife etc admitted to premises etc by annual rent of 3d with suit of court and other services due by right accustomed and gave fine etc Edw Fell's rent of 8d apportioned by homage viz he to pay 5d and Hart 3d
