also the homage find that on 23.10.1736 Math Fletcher a copyhold tenant of manor surrendered by rod into hand of lord by hand of Wm May and Jn Ray two copyhold tenants of the manor according to custom thereof all that messuage and garden belonging with appurtenances formerly Wm Green's and 4a more or less lying near Hyndesland with appurtenances in Earls Colne and also one croft of land called Burroughs containing 3a more or less in Earls Colne to the use of Moses Griffith of Bocking in Essex surgeon his heirs and assigns upon condition that if Math Fletcher his heirs and assigns should well and truly pay Moses Griffiths his executors administrators or assigns 200li lawful money on 23.10.1737 the said surrender would be void
