and also homage find that on 18.11.1736 Jn Simson and Mary his wife late Mary Frith spinster customary tenants of manor surrendered by rod into hand of lord by hand of Solomon Grimston gentleman deputy steward she Mary solely and secretly examined by steward and consenting etc all their 10a more or less called Lowfields formerly divided into three closes with a messuage or tenement and barn thereupon built with appurtenances in Earls Colne to use of Jn Wale elder of Saffron Walden esq his heirs and assigns upon condition that Jn Simson his heirs executors and assigns shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid to Jn Wale his executors administrators or assigns the sum of 205li on 19.5.next ensuing the date hereof without any deductions being the same sum of money mentioned and contained in the proviso or condition of one indenture tripartite of mortgage bearing even date with these presents and now made or mentioned to be made between Jn Simson and Mary his wife of the first part and the said Jn Wale of the second part and Thos Sewell of Earls Colne gentleman of the third part then this surrender to be void
