at this court it is found by homage that 30.1.last Walt Pease a customary tenant of the manor surrendered by rod into hand of lord and lady by hands of Sam Burton in place of the bailiff in presence of Jeff Cook and Jos Bott two customary tenants of manor all that his customary tenement parcel of Garlands called Penefathers in Earls Colne held of manor late in tenure of Walt Pease elder with yards gardens and part of a well with appurtenances belonging to tenement to use of Francis Martin of Earls Colne in Essex glazier his heirs and assigns forever whereupon comes Francis Martin and craves etc admitted tenant to premises etc by yearly rent 9d suit of court and other services etc gave lords his fine etc
