also it is found by homage that on 15.12.last Jervas Williston a customary tenant of manor surrendered by rod into hand of lords by hand of Solomon Grimston gentleman deputy steward all his cottage or tenement with garden and appurtenances belonging situate in Holt Street in Earls Colne then in his own tenure and held of the manor by copy of court roll to use of Jas Savill of Earls Colne blacksmith his heirs and assigns forever whereupon comes into court Jas Savill and humbly craves etc admitted tenant to premises etc annual rent 4d etc did fealty
