at this court found by homage that Wm Suckling died since last court seised of a copyhold messuage or tenement held of manor formerly part or moiety of a tenement called Francis's and before his death he surrendered same to use of his will whereupon comes into court Martha relict and widow of Sam Mead deceased and produced before homage last will of Wm Suckling deceased dated 12.7.1742 by which he devised as follows I give and bequeath unto my daughter Martha the wife of Sam Mead all that my copyhold messuage or tenement wherein I now dwell and holding on the manor of Earls Colne with the yards gardens and appurtenances thereunto belonging during the term of her natural life and after her decease to her daughter Mary Mead during the term of her natural life and after her decease to my granddaughter Martha Mead and to my granddaughter Sara Mead and her heirs forever and to the longest liver of these three and to their heirs forever thereupon the said Martha daughter humbly etc admitted tenant to said messuage or tenement and premises with appurtenances etc during her life by annual rent of 3d1h suit of court etc saving to lords their right etc
