at this court it is found by homage that Sarah Brackley widow a customary tenant of manor died since last court seised of a messuage or tenement with appurtenances called Mordens also Crossend formerly Tyler's held of the manor by annual rent of 4d and also one other messuage or tenement called Mordens or Crossend with appurtenances formerly Potter's held by annual rent of 9d and on 3.8.1743 she surrendered same in open court to use of her will and by her will dated same day devised the premises as follows I give and bequeath all those my copyhold messuages or tenements commonly called or known by name of Mordines otherwise Crossend with the appurtenances situate in Earls Colne and now in the tenure or occupation of myself and Sam Hutton unto my nephew Jn the son of Jn Buck of Earls Colne aforesaid weaver his heirs and assigns forever whereupon comes into court said Jn Buck and craves etc admitted tenants to said messuage or tenement formerly Tyler's and also messuage or tenement formerly Potter's with appurtenances etc did his fealty etc
