whereas at a court held for manor 14.6.1742 Jn Bell was admitted in pursuance of the will of Thomasin his wife deceased to all that messuage cottage or tenement with appurtenances called Humphrys and also to all that messuage or tenement called Baylies late two cottages together with several cottages or tenements as the same are situate in Earls Colne and were then in the several tenures of widow Polly widow Cony Thos King and Jas Green or their assigns to hold said cottages and premises to him Jn Bell and heirs whereas at the same court said Jn immediately after the admission surrendered the premises to the use of his last will in writing
