and at this court it is found by homage that Jn Bell died since last court seised of said premises and by his last will dated 14.11.1744 devised the premises as follows I give and bequeath unto my nephew Jn Bell of Witham aforesaid singleman all and singular that messuage or tenement with appurtenances called Humphrys and also one other messuage or tenement called Baylies with their and every of their appurtenances as the same are situate lying and being in Earls Colne in the county aforesaid held of the manor of Earls Colne and Colne Priory by copy of court roll all which said premises I have surrendered to use of my will and now are in several tenures or occupation of Jas Green Jn Brown Wm Eglin Jn Amey and the widow Cranfield their undertenants or assigns to have and to hold all and every of the said copyhold messuages cottages tenements and premises to my said nephew Jn Bell his heirs and assigns forever provided that my nephew Jn Bell shall out of the rents and profits of the said copyhold premises by me devised to him as aforesaid pay or cause to be pa id unto my sister Sibbella Armstrong widow late wife of Jn Armstrong during the term of her natural life yearly and every year the sum of 5li5s lawful money of Great Britain free of all manner of taxes or abatements whatsoever the first of the said payments to begin to be made within twelve months next after my decease
