at this court it is found by homage that Sam Guyon and Judith his wife two customary tenants of manor the 14.1.last surrendered by rod into hands of lords by hands and acceptance of Solomon Grimston gentleman deputy steward she Judith being first solely and secretly examined by deputy steward and consenting as the manner is all that copyhold cottage or tenement with appurtenances part of a tenement called Cocks in Holt Street in Earls Colne late in tenure or occupation of Jas Laver his assignee or assigns to use of Edw Crabb of Earls Colne his heirs and assigns forever whereupon comes into court said Edw Crabb and humbly etc admitted tenant to all and singular said premises etc annual rent of 8d etc
