fine 40d | to this court came Jn Turnor and Gunner his wife she herself examined solely by the steward and surrendered into the hands of the lady one messuage with one garden adjoining and all its appurtenances sometime of Gilb Baret whereof one head of the said messuage with garden abuts upon a tenement of Wm Lytyl on the eastern part and the other head abuts upon Roger Debeham's on the western part and lying in length along the king's highway from Halstede towards Colchester to the use of Thos Hunte Thos Prodeman junior Robt Kyrketon and Joan the wife of the same said Robt the heirs and assigns of Robt himself to whom the lady granted thereof seisin to hold the same in the aforesaid form at the will of the lady according to the custom of the manor saving whatever right and they gave to the lord for a fine as is shown in the mar gin and made fealty etc |
