| fine 4d | it is shown by the tenants that Wm Bakere has one gateway opening onto a field called Lowfeld viz of demesne lands without licence granted concerning this the aforesaid Wm came here into court and placed himself in the lady's grace and upon this the aforesaid lady granted the aforesaid Wm the said gate with a way leading into the aforesaid field to hold to the same said Wm and his heirs from the lady at the will according to the custom of the manor for the rent of 1d per annum and he gave to the lady for a fine for the aforesaid gate made without the lady's licence into the aforesaid field |
