fine 4d new rent 16d | at this court the lord granted to Thos Hunte of Colne one garden called Burtons Garden with a way leading from the garden away from the manor close of the said earl towards a pond in The Berecroft with free ingress and egress for riding horses for driving and leading the aforesaid garden lies between the aforesaid manor on one part and a garden of Wm Breton on the other part one head thereof abutting upon a close of the said manor as enclosed and the other head abutting upon the churchyard of the church of Colne to have and to hold to himself and his heirs forever by the rent thereof annually to the lord per annum of 16d viz at the feast of easter and michaelmas next following after this present date at the usual terms equally and he gave to the lord for a fine as shown and made fealty |
