| fine 8d | at this court the lord granted confirmed and ratified to Jn Langton and Emma his wife all his right estate and claim which he held in one with curtilage adjoining with its appurtenances from a grant from the late Matilda de Veer countess of Oxford next to Persmellane on one part and a messuage of Jn Lytylman on the other part one head abutting upon the king's highway leading from the aforesaid Colne towards Colchester to have and to hold the aforesaid messuage with curtilage adjoining to the aforesaid Jn and Emma his wife their heirs and assigns forever at the will of the lord by ancient services and customs according to the custom of the manor and they gave to the lord for a fine etc and made fealty etc |
