proof memo to this court came Jn Okelee prior of Earls Colne and showed to the lord ancient evidences for 1a of land lying in a field called Bradelee which was claimed as a right from the lord's demesne land as shown in these words Jn Person holds one tenement sometime of Heyron which lies between a messuage of the same and land of the said prior and for a rent to the said prior and his successors per annum of 6d at the four terms and one hour as a boon service in august similarly Jn holds 1a of land of a tenement called Coges and lying in a field called Bradelee and for a rent per annum to the said prior and his successors 4d and afterwards Jn Adam holds the same tenement sometime of Heyron and Wm Whrygthe with two crofts of arable land with a certain plot of garden which is adjoining the street between his solarium and his croft with one dwelling house built thereon and he should find one hour in hawking or fowling as a boon service which the father of Jn who is illegible text withdrew and he owes as rent 6d as is aforementioned similarly the same said Jn holds one croft of land containing 1a called Bradelee which was a parcel of a tenement Coge and he held the same unjustly because it should have reverted to the predecessors of the said prior who is illegible text after the decease of Adam Person uncle of Jn who is illegible text for which he paid per annum 4d as is aforementioned item Jn Adam holds one tenement sometime Heyron which lies between the same said messuage and his customary lands and lands of the prior of Bradelee and a rent to the prior and his successors per annum of 6d as is aforementioned etc and one hour as a boon service similarly the same said Jn holds 1a of land in Bradelee which at some time was of Hemems Sehice and of Hen Coge at a rent to the prior and his successors per annum of 4d as is abovesaid and upon this the aforesaid evidence was well and faithfully allowed by the examination of the lord earl's steward that it is good and true etc whereof the bailiff was able to discharge whereof he had been amerced
