fine 6d | Wm Coldhawe came and surrendered into the hands of the lord one cottage with garden and its appurtenances called Wardes adjoining Newacres to the use of Margt Fanneman Wm Clerk and Jn Eyre to whom the lord by his steward granted thereof seisin to hold to themselves their heirs and assigns from the lord by services and customs saving the right etc and upon the condition that the aforesaid Margt Wm and Jn should pay or cause to be paid to the same said Wm Coldhawe 6s8d at the feast of michaelmas.next and at the feast of easter then next following 6s8d and at the agreed feasts next following the agreed payment of the said sum until the sum of 40s of good english money should be paid and if it should happen that the said Margt Wm and Jn should be in arre ars in part of in whole at any of the above named times for any of the said payments that then it should truly be allowed to the same said Wm Coldhawe to reenter the said cottage with appurtenances forever in his former estate and the aforesaid Margt Wm and Jn upon this gave to the lord for a fine as shown and made fealty |
