| Earls Colne Jn Grue heriot Jn Bovyle chaplain | whereas at a court here held on the saturday next after the feast of st margt in 23.7.19Edw3 Wm Bolour now Jn Grue (inserted) who held from the lord at that court to show the lord's deed which ought to excuse him from the demand made upon him concerning that which he ought to do to a certain gate at the lord's park at Colford Bregg etc item Jn le Fuller came and by licence of the lord let to Robt Atte Noke and Alice his wife one croft of land called The Fenn for the term of four years etc similarly it was shown by an inquisition that Robt Atte Noke now Bovyll held from the lord 12a of molland containing 12a of land by services and customs after whose death there was one horse as heriot valued at 6s8d and they say that Jn the son and heir of Robt himself and of full age did now hold to himself his heirs and assigns by the services and customs etc item to that court Jn son and heir of the said Robt came and surrendered into the hands of the lord the aforesaid molland and 12a of land with appurtenances and the lord granted the aforesaid tenement with appurtenances to the aforesaid Jn and Isabel his wife for the services and customs etc |
