16d condition to this court came Joan Bray in her pure widowhood late wife of Wm Bray and surrendered all her right estate that she had or has or in any manner may have in one cottage with curtilage adjoining and its appurtenances called Brokeles into the hands of the lord to the use of Jn Roger Robt Sebryt Jn Hog of Coggeshale senior and Jn Turnor otherwise called Bonjon upon this condition however that the aforesaid Jn Robt Jn and Jn or their attorneys pay or cause to be paid to the aforesaid Joan or her attorney 40s sterling viz at the feast of st barnabus the apostle next following after the date of this court 6s8d sterling and from year to year until the aforesaid 40s sterling should be paid to whom the lord now at this court gran ted thereof seisin to hold to the same said Jn Robt Jn and Jn their heirs and assigns from the lord at the will of the lord by the ancient services and customs etc and upon the aforesaid conditions etc and if it should happen that the aforesaid Jn Robt Jn and Jn or their attorneys should default in the aforesaid payment at any of the aforesaid terms or for fifteen days after in part or in whole then truly it should be allowed to the aforesaid Joan or her attorney by the lord's licence to reenter the aforesaid cottage with appurtenances and to retain in her former estate notwithstanding this surrender otherwise it should stand in its full force and vigour and gave to the lord for a fine etc and made fealty etc
