fine 8d condition to this court came Thos Kelet Wm Clerk and Margt his wife who was lately wife of Wm Prodman she herself solely examined and consenting and Jn Brukeman and surrendered into the hands of the lord one messuage with garden adjoining and its appurtenances called Petemannes to the use of Jn Cook and Joan his wife Jn Turnor chaplain and Jn Hakon upon this condition however that the aforesaid Jn and Joan his wife Jn and Jn should pay or cause to be paid or their attorneys to the aforesaid Thos Wm and Margt his wife and Jn Brokeman or their attorneys 100s viz at michaelmas.next following after the date of this court 6s8d and at the feast of easter next following 6s8d sterling and thus from year to year until the aforesaid sum of 100s sterling should be paid to whom the lord now at this court granted thereof seisin to hold to the same said Jn and Joan his wife Jn and Jn their heirs and assigns from the lord at the will of the lord by the ancient services and customs etc and upon the aforesaid conditions etc and if it should happen that the aforesaid Jn and Joan his wife Jn and Jn or their attorneys should default in the aforesaid payment at any of the aforesaid terms or for three weeks after in part or in whole then truly it should be allowed to the aforesaid Thos Wm and Margt his wife and Jn or their attorneys by the lord's licence to reenter and go into again the aforesaid messuage with all its appurtenances and retain notwithstanding this surrender otherwise it should stand in its force and vigour forever and they gave to the lord for a fine etc and made fealty etc
