whereas at a court here held on monday 17.11.12Hen4 it was presented that Nichol purchased one tenement with a free garden of Thos Kelet who held from the lord by the service of 3s per annum therefore it was presented to the tenant of the land that he should be here at the next court to show by what right he entered into the lord's fee and to make fealty to the lord etc item it was presented that Jn Baron purchased one tenement and 40a of free land sometime of Jn Wrygth from Wm Onger who held from the lord by the service of 7s7d per annum therefore it is presented to distrain the tenant of the aforesaid land against the next that he should be here to show by what right he has entered the lord's fee and to made fealty to the lord etc item it was presented that Thos Kelet purchased one croft of land with 2r of marsh from Jn Parker vicar of the church of Colne of Roger Mordon and of Jn Gosse of Colchester which was of Jn Whyte which same said Thos present in court made fealty etc therefore it was presented to distrain the tenant of the land against the next to show by what right he has entered into the lord's fee and to make fealty etc
