fine 16d | to this court came Jn Upryt and Matilda his wife she herself solely examined and consenting by the steward and surrendered into the hands of the lord half of a field called Stylefeld lying between land sometime of Simon Coggeshale and Wm his son and afterwards of Rich Stepvene the lord's bondsman by blood on one part and land of Thos Brun sometime of Jn Dyn on the other part one head abutting upon land of Thos Dyn sometime it was of Margt sister of the said Matilda and mother of the said Thos and the other head upon a croft called Brychecroft sometime of Robt Botyler and half a croft of land called Lorkynescroft with appurtenances lying next to land called Levelond sometime of Robt Stone on one part and land of Robt Dyn sometime of the said Margt rightful wife of the said Robt one head abutting upon a way leading from the church of Colne Engaine towards Halsted and the other head upon lands of the lord of Colne Engaine which aforesaid land with all its appurtenances descended to the aforesaid Matilda daughter of the said Rich Stepvene by right of inheritance for my part and the other part after the death of the said Rich Stepvene my father and the other part which the aforesaid Thos Dyn held by right of inheritance descended to the aforesaid Margt mother of the said Thos and sister of the said Matilda after the death of the said Rich Stepvene with the other lands to the use of Jn Soneld Firmin Tyllere Jn Turnor Thos Brun and Jn Munde of Colne Engaine to whom the lord now at this court granted thereof to the same seisin to hold to the same Jn Firmin Jn Thos and Jn the heirs and assigns of the said Jn Soneld from the lord at the will of the lord by ancient services and customs etc saving the right etc and they gave to the lord for a fine etc and made fealty etc |
