inquisition Jn Adam Hen Nicol whereas at a court here held with view on the tuesday in pentecost week 10.6.11Edw3 Robt Gosse held on the day that he died one messuage and 2r of land and there was heriot etc and came Adam son and heir of the said Robt and sought admittance therefore it was presented to seize into the hands of the lord etc and to return to the lord of the profits etc item Robt held on the day that he died together with Rose his wife one tenement called Aywardeshaustall in the market place of Colne etc therefore it was presented to seize etc and to return to the lord etc item it was presented to seize into the hands of the lord 3a of free land which Jn Adam the lord's bondsman by blood held of the lord sometime of Seman Atte Sloo and 2a of free land which the same said Jn purchased of Olive Berwyk and 2r of meadow which the same said Jn bought by deed of Jeff Kebyl etc and afterwards came the same said Jn and brought to the lord his said deed (illegible through sewing) and his heirs etc and gave to the lord for an increase 1d annual rent etc therefore it was presented to seize into the hands of the lord etc and to return to the lord of the profits etc illegible textSwon held on the day that he died one messuage in the market place for his lifetime and there was heriot etc and it is said that Jn is the son and heir of his father and he was admitted thereof tenant etc therefore it was presented to seize and to return to the lord of the profits etc
