| Jn Adam inquisition | whereas at a court here held on the saturday next after the feast of st luke the evangelist 20.10.4Edw3 Jn Adam came and surrendered into the hands of the lord 2r of land lying in a field called Oldknoll adjoining land of the said Jn thus proportioned by the metes and bounds and 2r of marsh next to Sandhill to the use of Jn Borlee and his heirs to whom etc to hold to the same etc by the services and customs etc therefore it was presented to seize into the hands of the lord etc and to return to the lord of the profits etc item Jn Borlee came and surrendered into the hands of the lord 1a2r of land whoger were sometime of Rich Foche lying in a field called Oldknoll to the use of the said Jn Adam and his making to the lord per annum viz at michaelmas until the gula augusti ten customary services and from the feast of gula augusti until the feast of michaelmas four customary services and 3d as payment of demesne services fulfilled in the alloted customary services of the said Jn Borlee therefore it was presented to seize into the hands of the lord until etc and to return to the lord of the profits etc item Wm son of Adam Sower# came and surrendered into the hands of the lord one plot of land containing 20ft in length in breadth 10ft lying between a tenement of the aforesaid Wm on the one part and the tenement of Robt in the Hale on the other part to the use of the said Robt and Rose his wife and their heirs to hold to the same etc therefore it was presented to seize into the hands of the lord etc and to return to the lord of the profits |
