| inquisition Scalmanbregg | whereas at a court here held with view on the tuesday in pentecost week 6.6.9Edw3 it was presented to seize into the hands of the lord now Thos Skynnere holds as is said(inserted) the lands and tenements rents and services which were of Walt Wrygth and now came Joan who was wife of the said Walt and showed a certain deed which testified that the aforesaid Joan purchased jointly with the aforesaid Walt sometime her husband a certain croft which contained 9a of land and a there was of 6s8d rent which were held from the lord for which land the aforesaid Joan made to the lord fealty etc therefore it was presented to distrain the tenant of the land against the next to show by what right he entered into the lord's fee and to satisfy the lord of the 6s8d aforesaid and to make fealty to the lord item Jn the tanner came and gave to the lord for a fine for a licence to hold 1r20p of meadow lying at Scalmonbregg for a term of five years etc therefore it was presented to seize into the hands of the lord until etc and to return to the lord of the profits etc |
