fine 8d Jn Kene present in court and Margt his wife examined by the steward in full court surrendered into the lord's hands one cottage with a garden adjoining containing about 20p lying in the town of Colne sometime in the tenure of Simon Warde to the use of Thos Wood and Xian his wife and their heirs on condition that they pay or cause to be paid to the said Thos and Margt 40s viz at the feast of easter and michaelmas next following 13s4d and then at the feasts of easter and michaelmas then next coming by equal portions 13s4d and at the feasts abovesaid until the 40s is paid and if they make default in any payment at any day or any year after any feast then it shall be lawful to the said Jn and Margt by the licence of the court in the said cottage with garden to reenter to whom there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to them and their heirs of them begotten by the rod to the will of the lord by the services and customs saving the right and they give for fine
