Thos Proudman present in the court surrendered into the lord's hands two cottage lying in Colne between the messuage of Thos Kirton and the messuage of Jn Keler whereof one cottage is called Grayes (Brayes ) and the other tenement is called Brasiers to the use of Nich Cooke and Thos Kelet and the heirs of the said Nich on the condition that they pay or cause to be paid unto the said Thos or his certain attorney 8marks of good money viz at the feast of michaelmas next after the date of this court 4marks and at the feast of michaelmas then next following 4marks and if there be default in the payment in any day or any year at any feast then it shall be lawful to the said Thos and his attorneys into the said cottages by the licence of the court to reenter to whom there is seisin given to hold to them and the heirs of Nich begotten by the rod to the will of the lord by the services and customs saving the right and they give for fine
