fine 13s4d | to the same said court came Thos Clerk and Wm Skot present in court and surrendered into the hands of the lord one tenement sometime called Stevens late in the tenure of Jn Payn and also another tenement with garden sometime called Smythous between a tenement of the said Thos Clerk and a tenement of Wm Fraunceys with one croft of land late parcel of Lowfeld sometime of the said Jn Payn and further surrendered one other croft of land containing one day work late in the tenure of the aforesaid Jn Payn with its appurtenances to the use of Wm Mannyng of Teye Wm George and Robt Kyrkeby to whom was delivered there of seisin to have and to hold to Wm Wm and Robt their heirs and assigns forever by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor saving the rights upon the following condition that if Wm Mannyng Wm and Robt should pay or cause to be paid to the aforesaid Thos Clerk or the attorney of the said Jn Payn 15li viz at the feast of st john baptist next following the date of this court 12s4d and at the feast of st john baptist then next following 20s and thus always to be paid at the same said feast 20s annually until the aforesaid sum should be paid and if there should be default in the aforesaid payment etc that then truly etc and upon this they gave for a fine and made fealty |
