Lavenhams Garden | fine 6d to this court came Wm Choppet clerk the sole executor of the testament and last will of Alice Sprigge widow late deceased and sole seised in his demesne as of fee according to the custom of the manor of and in one garden customary with the appurtenances called Lavenhams Garden otherwise called Orlegers Garden sometime called Drapers Garden in Colne aforesaid to the use of the said Alice and surrendered into the lord the king's hands the foresaid garden with the appurtenances to the intent that the lord the king by his steward at this court might regrant the garden with the appurtenances to the foresaid Wm Choppett and Thos Audeley to hold to them and their heirs according to the custom of the manor according to the tenor and effect of the last will of the said Alice here in the court shown and brought forth and the tenor of the foresaid testament and last will seen and understood the lord king at this court by his steward regranted out of his hands the foresaid garden with the appurtenances to the foresaid Wm Choppet and Thos Audeley and their heirs to the use of the aforesaid Wm Choppette to whom there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to them and their heirs in form aforesaid and the foresaid Wm Choppet giveth the king for fine and maketh fealty |
