Michells Crofts | fine 2s to this court came Jn Sparrow which held jointly with Walt Wingfield esq now deceased to them and their heirs to the use of the foresaid Walt and his heirs four customary crofts of land called Michells with the appurtenances in Earls Colne which lately were Jn Pecocks of Coggeshall and after Jn Cobbs and the foresaid Jn Sparrowe at the instance and request of Jn Wingfield son and heir of the foresaid Walt Wingfield at this present court surrendered into the lord's hands the foresaid four crofts of land with the appurtenances called Michells to the use and behoof of the foresaid Jn Wingfield his heirs and assigns which Jn Wingfield being present in the court came and craved to be admitted and he is admitted the lord's tenant to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him and his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and he giveth fine etc and made fealty |
