Warkmans Xfine 2s6d it is found by the homage that Thos Roote out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Jn Pennocke one of the lord's tenants in the presence of Thos Harrison likewise the lord's tenant the same witnessing two crofts of land together lying and being in Earls Colne aforesaid as by the metes and bounds etc to the intent that the lord so seised might regrant the said two crofts of land with the appurtenances to the foresaid Thos Roote and Joan his wife and the heirs of the said Thos and the lord by virtue of the surrender aforesaid in the said two crofts of land so seised at this present court by his steward regranted out of his hands to the foresaid Thos Roote and Joan his wife the said two crofts of land with the appurtenances to hold to the same Thos and Joan and the heirs of the said Thos of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor etc to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to them and the heirs of the said Thos of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and they give fine etc and made fealty
