Lewis Jegon
and surrendered into the lord's hands one cottage with a garden adjoining called
Charles Paynes
in Colne aforesaid viz between the parish churchyard of Earls Colne if the one part toward the north and the way leading toward
Colne Park
of the other part toward the south one head thereof abutting upon the Church Green toward the east and the other head thereof abutting upon
the Halleyard
toward the west as by the metes and bounds etc to the use and behoof of
Jn Pennocke
and his heirs and assigns who being present in the court came and craved to be admitted thereunto and he is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the cust om of the manor and he giveth fine etc and made fealty
