Dovehousefield Xfine 2s it is found by the homage that Joan Carter widow late the wife of Jn Carter deceased and before the wife of Wm Davyson deceased which held to her for term of her life of the lord as of this manor by the rod one croft of customary land with the appurtenances called Dovehousefield in Colne aforesaid near the Hallegarden and abutteth at one head upon the lord's pound called common pound and at the other head upon the land of Robt Bieston called Berecrofte as etc to remain after her decease to Cecilie Davyson and Helen Davyson daughters of the said Wm Davyson and their heirs and if it happen that the said Cecilie and Helen to die without issue of them the said Joan their mother living then the foresaid croft of land with the appurtenances to remain to Wm Logan and Robt Myles executors of the last will and testament of the said Wm Davison to sell and the money thereof coming to be disposed according to the form and effect of the last will and testament of the said Wm Davison here in the court shown as in the same will more at large appears the foresaid Joan died since the last court of such estate seised and further say that the foresaid Cecilie and Helen are likewise dead and hereupon to this court came Wm Swattock and Jn Tillwick seised jointly with the foresaid Wm Davison deceased of and in the foresaid croft of land with the appurtenances as in the leet with the court here holden on tuesday in the week of pentecost in the 4Hen8 more at large appears and for the execution and performance of the said last will of the said Wm Davison surrendered into the lord's hands the said croft of land with the appurtenances to the use and behoof of Robt Myles the survivor of the executors of the said Wm Davison deceased and his heirs to sell and the money thereof coming to be disposed etc which Robt Myles being present in the court came and craved to be admitted thereunto and because it is so found by the homage therefore he is admitted the lord's tenant to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns as above of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according etc and he giveth fine etc and made fealty
