Brayes Xfine 12d it is found by the homage that Thos Harrison who held to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc one tenement or cottage with the appurtenances called Brayes in Colne aforesaid as etc died since the last court of and in the foresaid tenement or cottage with the appurtenances sole seised in his demesne as of fee according to the custom of the manor and they say further that Thomasin now the wife of Jn Culverton one of the daughters of the said Thos Harrison and Jn Herd alias Pennock of the age of 4yr son and heir of Agnes the other daughter of the said Thos Harrison are coheirs of the said Thos Harrison and have right to the premises which Thomasin by the foresaid Jn Culverton her husband and the foresaid Jn Herd alias Pennocke by Xoph Herd alias Pennocke his father came and craved to be admitted thereunto and because it is so found by the homage therefore they are admitted the lord's tenants thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to the hands of the foresaid Jn Culverton and Xoph Herd alias Pennocke to hold to the same Thomasin and Jn Herd alias Pennocke their heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor etc and because the foresaid Jn is under age as above etc therefore custody as well of the body of the foresaid Jn as of his part of the foresaid tenement or cottage with the appurtenances is committed to the foresaid Xoph Herd alias Pennocke to hold to him during the nonage of the same Jn Herd alias Pennocke etc and the foresaid Thomasin and Jn Herd alias Pennocke give fine as well their entry thereof to be had as for the custody aforesaid etc and made fealty
