Lavenhams Garden Xfine 12d to this court came Joan Asplond widow and surrendered into the lord's hands one garden customary with the appurtenances called Lavenhams otherwise called Olgersgarden sometime called Drapersgarden to the use and behoof of Geo Kettell to hold to him and his assigns during the whole term of the life of one Alice late the wife of Thos Harrison deceased to remain after the decease of the said Alice to the churchwardens of Earls Colne aforesaid and their successors to sell and the money thereof coming to bestow in works of charity according etc as in the leet with the court here holden on tuesday in the week of pentecost in the 23Hen8 30.5.1531 more at large appears which Geo Kettell being present in the court came and craved to be admitted thereunto and he is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him and his assigns during the whole term of the life of the foresaid Alice Harrison widow of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor to remain as above etc and he giveth fine etc and made fealty
