Oldhall Xfine 8d to this court came Jn Saaks and surrendered into the lord's hands one cottage with a garden and the appurtenances called Oldhall lying at the end of the town of Earls Colne aforesaid late Jn Burton's deceased to the use and behoof of Jn Mortymer his heirs and assigns who being present in the court came and craved to be admitted and he is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and he giveth fine and made fealty yet this present surrender and seisin thereof delivered is made on the condition following viz that the foresaid Jn Mortymer his heirs or assigns shall find or cause to be found to the foresaid Jn Saaks during the term of his life competent food and apparel with dwelling and easement of fire in the said cottage that then the present surrender and seisin thereof delivered shall stand and remain in all his strength and power otherwise it shall be void and of no force
