Bettingsland Hansershedge | fine 12d at this court the lord by his steward and by the advice consent and agreement and survey of Jn Churche his surveyor granted out of his hands unto Lewis Jegon the feed or pasture of the wood called Bettingsland late in the tenure or occupation of Jn Game the elder and before in the tenure and occupation of Rich Wade together with four# pieces of land to the same wood adjoining wherefore he renteth by year 10s and also the fee and pasture of one wood called Hansershedge now in the tenure or occupation of the foresaid Lewis lying and being in the parish of Earls Colne as by the metes and bounds more fully they are divided and shown to hold to the fores aid Lewis Jegon his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor etc yielding therefore yearly to the lord and his heirs lord's of this manor 8s4d sterling viz for the feed and pasture of the wood called Bettingsland 6s8d beside the 10s as yet paid by Jn Game for the four pieces of land with the appurtenances and for the pasture and feed of the foresaid wood called Hansershedge 20d at two usual terms of the manor and suit at the court according to the custom of the manor and all other customs and services therefore before due and accustomed and he giveth fine etc and made fealty |
